York City has been a source of great inspiration for us and is widely known for its colourful history; it has been home to Romans (in 306 AD Constantine the Great was declared Emperor in York, then named "Eboracum"), Saxons, Vikings (York city, named "Jorvic", was overthrown by the Vikings in 866 AD) and Normans.

Here at The Armoury we pride ourselves on having an extensive range of authentically designed historical, fantasy, movie and gaming replica swords and other weapons, as well as a large set of beautifully crafted ornamental pieces, so there really is something to suit everyone's tastes!
